Ferris State Softball Slated To Open 14-Game Conference Homestand

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's softball team will hit the field for its first home action of the season and begin a lenghty homestand with three Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) twinbills this weekend.

The Bulldogs will host Malone in a rescheduled doubleheader to open the home slate on Friday (April 11) afternoon with first pitch for game one set for 2 p.m. (ET) and game two to follow at approximately 4 p.m. (ET).

On Saturday (April 12), FSU then hosts Saginaw Valley State in conference play with the doubleheader getting underway at 1 p.m. (ET).

Finally, the Bulldogs wrap up the weekend on Sunday (April 13) against Wayne State in a double dip also slated to start at 1 p.m. (ET).

Overall, Ferris State is currently scheduled to play 14 consecutive home contests over a 10-day period with seven conference doubleheaders between April 11 and April 21. After this weekend's action, FSU hosts Ashland on Tuesday (April 15) followed by home twinbills against Ohio Dominican on April 17, Tiffin on April 19 and Lake Superior State on April 21.

The Bulldogs will then hit the road for a pair of GLIAC doubleheaders after the long homestand at Findlay and Hillsdale on April 25-26, respectively, before completing regular-season play with a rescheduled doubleheader against rival Grand Valley State on April 27.

Currently, the Bulldogs are 8-9 overall this season and 3-3 in GLIAC action. FSU is coming off a league road split at Northwood on Wednesday (April 9) in Midland.
