Bulldog Softball Slated To Continue Busy Homestand On Thursday Afternoon

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University softball team returns to the field in Big Rapids on Thursday as the Bulldogs continue a lengthy homestand against Ohio Dominican at the FSU Softball Field.

First pitch for game one is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. (ET) with the nightcap to follow starting at approximately 5:30 p.m. (ET) and field conditions are expected to be playable.

The contest continues what was originally to be a 14-game league homestand. FSU opened the stretch by splitting two games against Malone last Friday (April 11) in its first home action of the 2014 campaign before falling to Saginaw Valley State narrowly on Saturday (April 12).

However, FSU's second game against the Cardinals was rained out and weather also forced the cancellation of both this past Sunday's (April 13) league twinbill versus Wayne State along with Tuesday's (April 15) rescheduled doubleheader against Ashland in Big Rapids. Plans are currently underway to makeup all of those contests over the next week and awaiting final approval from the GLIAC office.

Following Thursday's double dip against the Panthers, FSU continues the home slate with a pair of games versus Tiffin on Saturday (April 19) beginning at 1 p.m. (ET) and 3 p.m. (ET) for games one and two, respectively.

The Bulldogs will then host Lake Superior State on Monday (April 21) with the opening game set to get underway at 3 p.m. (ET) and game two scheduled for a 5 p.m. (ET) start.

More schedule updates will be made as soon as they are finalized and fans should stay tuned to FerrisStateBulldogs.com for all the latest updates.
