GLIAC Announces Changes To Ferris State's Remaining Regular-Season Slate

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced a few changes to the league's softball rain date schedule this weekend which impacts Ferris State University's remaining regular-season slate.

The Bulldogs were previously scheduled to play their final conference regular-season doubleheader at home against archrival Grand Valley State on Sunday. However, that rescheduled doubleheader has now been changed again as part of the league revision.

FSU will instead host Ashland in a makeup twinbill on Sunday (April 27) at the FSU Softball Field and then will square off against GVSU in the final league doubleheader of the regular-season on Monday (April 28) in Big Rapids. Official start times for both conference twinbills have not yet been announced.

Prior to the final two days of regular-season action, Ferris State first continues a busy week of competition by hosting Saginaw Valley State for a rescheduled single game on Wednesday (April 23) at the FSU Softball Field in Big Rapids starting at 5 p.m. (ET).

Following Wednesday's tilt, FSU will have a day off before returning to action on Friday (April 25) at Findlay for a two-game set. Ferris State then heads to Hilldale on Saturday (April 26) for a twinbill before returning home to host Ashland and GVSU.

Presently, the Bulldogs are 13-15 overall and 8-9 in the league standings. FSU is currently battling for one of the eight spots in the GLIAC Postseason Tournament. The top eight teams at the end of the regular-season, based on winning percentage playing a minimum of 75% of their originally scheduled league games, will qualify for the event to be held May 2-4 in Findlay, Ohio.
