Softball Doubleheader At Northwood Pushed Back One Day Due To Rain

Big Rapids, Mich. - Another change has been made to the Ferris State University softball team's schedule as the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) twinbill set for Tuesday (April 21) afternoon in Midland has been pushed back one day.

The Bulldogs and the Timberwolves will now play an afternoon doubleheader on NU's field in Midland on Wednesday (April 22) starting with game one at 3:30 p.m. (ET) and game two to follow at approximately 5:30 p.m. (ET). The change was made due to rainfall and wet fields.

It marks the second-straight day in which a scheduled two-game set has been rescheduled due to rainfall for the Bulldogs.

Following the trip to Northwood, FSU visits Hillsdale on Friday (April 24) and Findlay on Saturday (April 25) before coming back home to close out the regular-season against Saginaw Valley State on Sunday (April 26) at the FSU Softball Field.

The Bulldogs have currently won three of their last four contests overall this year and are battling for one of the final spots in the GLIAC Tournament slated to be played May 1-3 in Findlay, Ohio. FSU needs to finish in the top eight of the league race to qualify for a postseason appearance.

Overall, Ferris State has won five of its last eight contests this year under second-year head coach Sarah Rotta and the league twinbill at Northwood will be FSU's first action away from home in the month of April.
