Ferris State Softball Head Coach Sarah Rotta Resigns

Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University softball head coach Sarah Rotta, who guided the Bulldog program for the past two seasons, has resigned from her position, which is effective immediately.

This past season, Rotta guided the Bulldogs to a 16-36 overall record and a 10th-place finish (9-15) in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) standings. She posted a two-year mark of 29-56 (.341) after being appointed to the position in late November of 2013.  The program saw enhanced fundraising and facility upgrades during her tenure, which included an extended spring schedule, installation of new batting cages and bullpens along with a new scoreboard at the FSU Softball Field this past spring.

A search to fill the vacant softball head coaching position will begin as soon as possible.
