Ferris State Softball Headed To Missouri For Opening Weekend After Schedule Adjustment

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University softball squad's season-opening weekend slate has changed due to weather and field conditions.

The Bulldogs, who were originally slated to travel to Louisville (Ky.) this weekend for four games at Bellarmine University, will now instead travel to St. Charles, Mo.

Ferris State will play a pair of doubleheaders with two games each on both Saturday (Feb. 15) and Sunday (Feb. 16) against the University of Illinois-Springfield. The twinbills will be played at Lindenwood University in the St. Louis area.

The Bulldogs will take the field on Saturday for games that will begin at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., central time. On Sunday, the two matchups will be played at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m., central time.

After this weekend's slate, FSU then is slated to take part in the Midwest Regional Crossover Feb. 21-23 in Evansville (Ind.) before heading to Florida for their annual appearance in The Spring Games slated for March 7-13. FSU opens GLIAC play at home against Northwood on March 18 in Big Rapids.
