Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University senior centerfielder Paige Kortz (Brooklyn/Napoleon) has been chosen to the 2022 Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) All-Midwest Region Team for her performance this past season.

Kortz garnered second-team recognition in voting by the region's sports information directors and earned all-region accolades for the second consecutive year.

A first-team All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) choice this year, Kortz led the Bulldogs this season and ranked among the GLIAC leaders in numerous statistical categories after hitting .383 on the year. She produced 62 hits and drove in 40 runs in 51 games while notching a school single-season record 12 home runs in addition to seven doubles and two triples. She also posted a .673 slugging percentage and stole nine bases for FSU while scoring 45 total runs.

This year marked the third season in her career in which Kortz garnered All-GLIAC First Team accolades. She previously was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division II All-Midwest Region squad in 2021.

Ferris State concluded the 2022 campaign by reaching the GLIAC Tournament Semifinals this past weekend in Ohio. The bulk of the Bulldog roster is eligible to return next season following a year in which FSU won 19 games and picked up the program's first postseason win since 2016.
