Big Rapids, Mich. - A total of five Ferris State University softball standouts have earned All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) honors for the 2024 season and the Bulldogs had one of the GLIAC's major award recipients as announced by the league office on Wednesday.

FSU freshman Alexis Kozlowski (Gaylord) was tabbed as the 2024 GLIAC Freshman of the Year, marking the second consecutive year in which the Bulldogs have had the conference rookie award winner.

In addition, Kozlowski also received All-GLIAC First Team kudos and was joined on the all-conference first team squad by senior ace pitcher Aryn Gallacher (Rochester Hills/Rochester).

Ferris State had a second-team all-conference choice in sophomore designated player/catcher Emily Killion (Dundee) while two others claimed All-GLIAC Honorable Mention honors in freshman shortstop Emma Gillard (Ravenna) and sophomore second baseman Jadyn Joseph (Holt). Last year, Joseph claimed the GLIAC Freshman of the Year honor as FSU's left fielder before moving to the infield this season.

Together, the five honorees helped the Bulldogs to a top four finish in GLIAC regular-season play and a spot in the conference tournament this spring.

Ferris State will open the league postseason tournament as the number four overall seed and will face fifth-seeded Wayne State in the opening game of the GLIAC Tournament on Thursday (May 2) starting at 12 p.m. (ET) at the Parkway Bank Sports Complex in Rosemont, Ill.
