Ashland, Ohio - The Ferris State University women's basketball team will square off against Wisconsin-Parkside in the 2012 NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Semifinals on Saturday (March 10) at 5 p.m. (ET) inside Kates Gymnasium in Ashland, Ohio. 

Ferris State is the region's number two seed and will square off against the third-seeded Rangers in the first of two regional semifinal games.  The second semifinal at 7:30 p.m. (ET) will pit host and top-seeded Ashland against fourth-seeded Quincy (Ill.).  The winners of each will advance to the regional title game on Monday (March 12) evening at 7 p.m. (ET).

Tickets for all sessions can be purchased one hour prior to the start of each session at the the entrance to Kates Gymnasium.  Ticket prices are $10 for adult general admission tickets or $4 for all student tickets. A separate ticket will need to be purchased for each session, which consists of two games. The facility will be cleared between sessions. No complimentary tickets will be issued per NCAA regulations.

Saturday's regional semifinal will be carried live on local radio station Sunny 97.3 FM and the Bulldog Sports Network with Rob Bentley calling the play-by-play action.  The broadcast begins with the Meijer Pregame Show at 4:30 p.m. (ET) from inside Kates Gymnasium and is accessible online via a free live audio stream at www.FerrisStateBulldogs.com.

Ashland University will provide live internet statistics. Periodic scoring updates will also be available on Ferris State Athletics' official Facebook and Twitter pages.  

Ferris State (23-6, 17-2 GLIAC) has won 21 of its last 25 outings to date, including 17 of its last 19 overall and topped seventh-seeded Drury (Mo.) 74-56 in Friday's quarterfinals at Kates Gymansium.

Wisconsin-Parkside owns a 23-5 overall record and was a 73-66 winner over sixth-seeded Indianapolis in the first quarterfinal game on Friday afternoon.

FSU is making its fourth-ever NCAA-II Tournament appearance and now holds a 3-3 all-time mark in NCAA action following the win over Drury.  FSU also holds a 3-1 all-time series' edge against Wisconsin-Parkside heading into Saturday's matchup, but the two teams have not faced each other since the 2002-03 campaign.

The single-elimination national tournament field of 64 schools includes eight regions of eight teams apiece.  The Midwest Regional Champion will advance to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight set for March 20-23 in San Antonio, Texas.
