FSU Women’s Basketball Banquet On April 22

Big Rapids, Mich.- The Ferris State University women's basketball team will hold its 2011-12 postseason banquet on Sunday, April 22.

The annual award banquet will take place from 12:30 – 4 p.m. (ET) at the West Campus Community Center. Lunch will be served prior to the announcement of the awards and space is limited to the first 100 people. The event is hosted by The Zonta Club of Big Rapids and Snyder's Market.

Bulldog fans are encouraged and invited to join players, coaches and staff for the annual gathering. Adult tickets are $15 with children under the age of eight charged $5 each.

As part of the postseason banquet, the Bulldogs will present their 2011-12 season award recipients and recognize the senior trio of Tricia Principe (Kalamazoo),  Lindsey Pettit  (Portland) and Kelsey DeNoyelles (Mt. Pleasant).

The Ferris State squad finished the 2011-12 season with a 23-7 overall record, which matches the school record set previously in 2006-07 for most wins in a campaign. The squad advanced to the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional semifinals.

The Bulldogs also claimed the schools second-ever Great Lakes Intercollegiate (GLIAC) North Division Championship this season with a 17-2 league mark and earned runner-up honors in the 2012 GLIAC Tournament.
