Going Away Social For Coach Tracey Dorow

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University Athletics Department, in conjunction with the Sixth Dawg Club, will host a "going away social" for women's basketball head coach Tracey Dorow.

The event will take place at Buffalo Wild Wings in Big Rapids on Thursday, May 10, starting at 4 p.m. (ET) and will run until approximately 7 p.m. (ET).

The Sixth Dawg Club, which is the booster organization for FSU women's basketball thru the Bulldog Athletic Association, will provide free appetizers during the event.

Dorow was hired on April 23 as the new head coach at NCAA Division I Valparaiso University.  She guided the Bulldogs to four NCAA Division II Tournament appearances, two Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) North Division championships, and four 20-win seasons in 14 seasons as the Bulldogs' head coach.

Ferris State finished the 2011-12 season with a 23-7 overall record, which matched the school record set previously in 2006-07 for most wins in a campaign. The squad advanced to the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional semifinals and claimed the schools second-ever GLIAC North Division Championship this season with a 17-2 league mark.
