Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State women's basketball team heads to Michigan's Upper Peninsula this week to face Michigan Tech and Northern Michigan in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play.  FSU squares off with Michigan Tech on Thursday, Feb. 7, in Houghton starting at 7:30 p.m. (ET).  On Saturday, Feb. 9, the Bulldogs take on Northern Michigan in Marquette beginning at 1 p.m. (ET).

Both games will be broadcast locally by Sunny 97.3 FM and the Bulldog Sports Network starting with the Meijer Pregame Show a half-hour prior to the men's tipoff. A live audio broadcast will be accessible online in addition to live internet statistics and a live pay-per-view video webcast offered by the opposing schools.  For a full listing of links, please visit FerrisStateBulldogs.com.

Ferris State, 10-8 overall and 9-6 in the league, is currently fourth overall in the GLIAC North Division standings to date.  Wayne State is first in the division (11-3) with Michigan Tech second (11-4) and Grand Valley State third (10-5).  The Bulldogs have won eight of their last 13 games overall.

Michigan Tech (13-6, 11-4 GLIAC) has won four of its last five games to date this year, but suffered a 69-60 road setback at rival Northern Michigan on Saturday (Feb. 2).  MTU was the 2010-11 national runner-up.

Northern Michigan (11-8, 8-7 GLIAC) has split its last four games heading into Thursday's home contest against Grand Valley State, but is coming off a 69-60 win in Marquette over archrival Michigan Tech last Saturday (Feb. 2).

This week's games start round two of GLIAC North Division play.  FSU fell to Michigan Tech by a 60-46 score in Big Rapids in January (1/10), but was able to bounce back two days later to edge Northern Michigan 47-46 at Wink Arena (1/12).  Both matchups marked the first games against either team under first-year head coach Colleen Lamoreaux-Tate.

Saturday's game at Northern Michigan will be part of a road tripleheader for Ferris State Athletics inside the Berry Events Center.  The women's team takes on NMU after the men's game before the facility is changed over for hockey.  The Ferris State men's ice hockey team will also face the Wildcats in a two-game set this weekend in Marquette beginning at 7:35 p.m. (ET) both Friday and Saturday nights.
