The 5-9 Shermulis played on the prep level for Providence Catholic High School in New Lenox, Ill. She attained four varsity letters and was a three-year starter while serving as co-captain as a senior in 2012-13. The All-East Suburban Catholic Conference First Team pick ranked among the league's top 20 scoring leaders.
