Bulldog Senior Guard Leah Humes Selected To Play In Addix College Basketball All-Star Game Wednesday

Big Rapids, Mich. - Senior guard Leah Humes (Bay City/Central), who helped lead the Ferris State University women's basketball squad to the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Semifinals this year, has been selected to compete in the annual Addix College Basketball All-Star game on Wednesday, March 28, at Cornerstone's Mol Arena.

The 12th annual game, which features the top college stars from Michigan, will be played at Cornerstone University with the women's game at 5:30 p.m. (ET) and the men's game starting at 7 p.m. (ET). The cost is $10 for adults, $5 for students and a flat $20 fee for families.

The game pits top college basketball players from the Greater Grand Rapids Area from leagues such as the GLIAC, Big Ten, Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference, Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association and the Mid-American Conference.

As a senior this past season, Humes earned All-GLIAC Second Team honors and was also named to the GLIAC All-Defensive Team after helping FSU reach the league tournament semifinals.

Humes garnered all-conference recognition for the first time in her Bulldog career after ranking as one of the team's leading scorers at 10.3 points per game this year. Overall, she totaled 309 points this season while starting all 30 games and finished her two-year Bulldog career with 556 career points in 57 outings.

A two-year starter and letterwinner, Humes also dished out 69 assists this year and compiled a team-high 61 steals with 22 blocked shots in addition to 81 rebounds overall.

Humes helped the Bulldogs notch 15 wins this year. The 15 wins are the program's most since the 2011-12 season and this year also marked the Bulldogs' first GLIAC Tournament berth since 2013 and their first league semifinal finish since 2012.
