Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's golf program ranked at the top of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) in all-conference honorees for the 2012-13 campaign, according to the official announcement made by the league office.

Ferris State, along with both Grand Valley State and Ashland, each led the league with a total of four student-athletes named to either the All-GLIAC first, second or honorable mention teams. Findlay totaled three wihle Northwood, Walsh and Tiffin each had a single honoree.

Bulldog junior Jacqueline DeBoer (Grand Rapids/South Christian) attained All-GLIAC First Team accolades with a pair of juniors in Ashley Swanson (Flushing/Flint Powers Catholic Central) and Emily Rohdy (Farwell) earning second-team kudos.  Finally, freshman Libby Berens (Zeeland/Holland Christian) was an honorable mention recipient.

A total of six players were named to the first, second and third teams in the all-conference process.

All-GLIAC Women's Golf selections were based upon a player's stroke average in her nine best rounds in league play, including all rounds of the GLIAC Tournament.  All ties were also broken by total strokes in the conference tournament.

This year marks the third consecutive year in which both DeBoer and Rohdy have attained all-league recognition for the Bulldogs. DeBoer claimed first team kudos for the second time in her career after being named to both the first team and chosen as the GLIAC Freshman of the Year two seasons ago prior to earning second-team status last season.  Meanwhile, Rohdy is a three-time All-GLIAC Second Team pick.

Swanson and Berens each received All-GLIAC laurels for the first time in their collegiate careers.

Ferris State made its 12th consecutive national tournament appearance under sixth-year head coach Mike Mignano this spring.  The Bulldogs placed seventh overall at the 2012 NCAA Division II East Regional Championships held May 5-7 in Joliet, Ill.

FSU also placed third overall at the 2013 GLIAC Championships (April 26-28) at Stone Ridge Golf Course in Bowling Green, Ohio.
