Ferris State Heads To GLIAC Women's Golf Championships This Weekend In Allendale

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's golf team will compete in the 2016 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championships Friday thru Sunday (April 22-24) in Allendale, Mich.

The GLIAC Championship is being held at The Meadows Golf Course and being hosted by Grand Valley State University.

A 54-hole format for the tournament will take place with 18 holes each day on the par 72 course measuring 6,065 yards.

Ashland, Ferris State, Findlay, Grand Valley State, Lake Superior State, Malone, Northern Michigan, Northwood, Ohio Dominican, Tiffin, Walsh and Wayne State will compete in the event.

Tee times for round one will start on Friday at 9 a.m. (ET) with round two slated for Saturday. The final round is on Sunday to wrap up the event.

This spring, the Bulldogs have competed in four tournaments to date and are coming off a sixth-place performance this past weekend at the Cav Classic hosted by Walsh University in Canton, Ohio. FSU has three top six finishes overall this spring.

Following the GLIAC Championships, official participants for the NCAA Division II Championships will be announced via ncaa.com next week with the NCAA-II East Regional set for May 2-4 in Springfield, Ill.
