Bulldog Women's Golf Places Tied For 9th At Findlay Bing Beall Fall Classic

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's golf team closed out competition at the annual University of Findlay Bing Beall Fall Classic by placing in a tie for ninth place overall on Monday (Oct. 9) at the Findlay Country Club in Ohio.

The Bulldogs shot a 325 in the final round to go with their opening round 328 score on Sunday to finish at 653 overall for the 36 holes of competition.

FSU was paced by freshman Baylee Thompson, who plaecd 17th in the field with a 154 figure on rounds of 78 Sunday and 76 Monday, respectively.

Meanwhile, Morgan Zloto finished tied for 43rd with a 164 total. After shooting a first-round 83, she came back with an 81 in the final round.

FSU's Margo Brown wound up tied for 48th overall a stroke behind Zloto at 165 for the tourney. Her first round score was an 82 before she shot an 83 in the final round.

The Bulldogs' Mari Suokko placed tied for 61st with a 170 total on identical rounds of 85 each of the two days.

Finally, Maddie Tran was 77th overall at 181 on rounds of 91 and 90 Sunday and Monday, respectively.

The Bulldogs' Claire Jansa also competed as an individual and came in 73rd by shooting a 91 in round one and an 87 in round two for a 178 figure.

The field included a total of 14 teams and the team title was captured by the University of Indianapolis, which shot a 585 score for the two days of action.

The Bulldogs will next be in action on Oct. 23-24 when they wrap up the fall campaign at the Trevecca Nazarene Classic in Nashville, Tenn.
