Bulldog Women's Golf Ties School Record In First Round At Cumberland Classic

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's golf team shot an impressive round on Saturday (Sept. 21) as FSU opened action in second place at the Cumberland Classic in Pataskala, Ohio.

The Bulldogs' 296 total is believed to have matched the school record previously set in 2005.

The 16-team event at the Cumberland Trail Golf Club wraps up with final round play on Sunday.

FSU senior Destiny Lawson led the Bulldogs as she shot even-par with a 72 in round one as did teammate Shayna Schenider.

The Bulldogs' Margo Brown and Karina VanDuinen both posted scores of 76 in the first round to finish +4 while Mackenzie Dale finished the first round with an 83 for a +11 figure.
