Ferris State's Alayna Eldred Tabbed As GLIAC Women's Golfer Of The Week

Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University's Alayna Eldred (Osakis, Minn.) has been chosen as the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Women's Golfer of the Week.

Eldred earned runner-up honors at the Tiffin Fall Invitational, which wrapped up on Tuesday at the Mohawk Golf and Country Club in Tiffin, Ohio. She compiled a 158 total for the 36 holes, including shooting a 77 over the final 18 holes after opening the event with an 81 on Monday. 

Her performance on the par 72 course helped the Bulldogs place tied for fifth overall in the team standings. 

Eldred placed among the top 15 golfers for the third time in four tournaments to date this fall.

The Bulldogs will wrap up the fall campaign by taking part in the Davenport Panther Invitational on Oct. 16-17.
