Women's Golf Holds Position To Tie For Sixth Overall At Beall Fall Classic

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's golf team held its position on the final day of the William "Bing" Beall Fall Classic, which wrapped up on Tuesday (Oct. 4) in Findlay, Ohio.

The Bulldogs placed tied for sixth overall with a 951 team score in the 54-hole event, shooting a final-round 322 figure. FSU had shot rounds of 311 and 318 on Monday in the 17-team field.

Ferris State was paced by Dani Staskowski, who placed tied for 24th overall at 236 for the three rounds. She shot a 81 on Tuesday after scores of 79 and 76 on Monday.

Meanwhile, Alayna Eldred and Elaina DeRose both came in tied for 33rd overall with 238 figures for the two days. Eldred shot a 77 on Tuesday following scores of 74 and 87 on day one while DeRose carded a final-round 83. She had notched marks of 79 and 76 in the first two rounds.

FSU's Lizzie Anderson placed tied for 50th in the field at 244, firing an 84 over the final 18 holes. She shot a 81 in round one and a 79 in the second round.

Finally, Kamryn Shannon tied for 59th with a 247 total on rounds of 79 and 87 on Monday before closing with a 81 on Tuesday.

FSU's Susie Gietl also competed individually and finished tied for 46th with a 243 score. She shot a 78 in the final round on the heels of posting scores of 85 and 80 in day one competition.

The Bulldogs will next compete in the Panther Fall Invitational set for Oct. 17-18 in Augusta, Mich.
