Ferris State Women's Golf Finishes Tied For Sixth At Bing Beall Fall Classic

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's golf team concluded action at the Bing Beall Classic in Ohio on Tuesday (Oct. 3) by tying for sixth place overall in a competitive field in the annual event.

The Bulldogs finished the final round with a 320 score over the last 18 holes on Tuesday and concluded the 54-hole event with a 935 total, matching Tiffin and Missouri-St. Louis for sixth place. Indianapolis won the event with an 880 score followed by host Findlay in second place at 887 for the three rounds.

FSU had opened the tournament with scores of 313 and 302 in Monday's action. A total of 14 schools were in the field.

The Bulldogs were led by Kamryn Shannon's 13th-place effort with a 226 total for the three rounds. She finished with a 79 after beginning the event with a 77 followed by a two-under 70 on opening day.

FSU's Dani Staskowski was next in line for Ferris State as she shared 24th place overall at 230, carding a 78 in the final round. Previously, she opened the event with a 78 and then shot a 74 in round two.

Ferris State's Lizzie Anderson came in tied for 36th with a 235 figure. She closed with an 81 after rounds of 78 and 76 in Monday's action.

Additionally, Taylor Musselman shot a 247 total, which included a final-round 83 on Tuesday, to place tied for 58th in the field. Her first two rounds consisted of scores of 79 and 85 in rounds one and two, respectively.

Meanwhile, Abby Grevel was next in line with a 248 and finished tied for 61st overall. She shot an 86 over the final 18 holes after starting the event with an 80 in round one and an 82 in round two.

Finally, Hallie Crozier placed tied for 67th at 252 for the tournament, which included her best score of 82 on Tuesday. She began the event with an 86 in the first round followed by an 84 in the second round.

The Bulldogs are slated to close out the fall season at the Bill Crabtree Memorial on Oct. 22-23 in Owensboro, Ky.
