Women's Soccer Wraps Up Weekend Trip To Ohio With Scoreless Double Overtime Tie At Walsh

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's soccer squad wrapped up its weekend trip to Ohio with a 0-0 double-overtime tie against the Walsh Cavaliers on Sunday (Oct. 9) in North Canton, Ohio.

Neither team could produce a goal in the 110 minute scoreless contest as the Bulldogs recorded their third tie this season. It came at Walsh's Milazzo Field.

Freshman goalkeeper Grace Kraft claimed the decision in net for FSU by playing all 110 minutes with six saves for the Bulldogs. She is now 3-2-3 overall in net this season.

Meanwhile, Walsh's Dani Shambaugh made two saves while also playing the distance for the host Cavaliers.

Walsh outshot FSU 16-7 for the game, including a 13-4 advantage in the second half of action. Each team had a single shot in the two overtime periods.

Ferris State did earn three corner kick tries to only one for Walsh and FSU finished with seven fouls to six for the Cavaliers.

The Bulldogs will return home to play their next three Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) outings at FSU's Top Taggart Field. FSU hosts Findlay on Friday (Oct. 14) starting at 12 p.m. (ET) and then will host Ohio Dominican in league play next Sunday (Oct. 16) also at noon.
