Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's soccer program and head coach Andy McCaslin will hold a Bulldog ID Camp on Aug. 6 in Big Rapids.

The 2017 Ferris State Bulldog ID Camp is a high-level camp where participants will receive coaching from the Ferris State coaching staff, other top level coaches representing colleges across the region and current members of the FSU Women's Soccer program.

The participant will get to experience a college coaching environment, a college recruiting talk, as well as competitive training games against some other college prospects with both small-sided games along with 11 vs 11 action.

"We're very excited about the ID camp that is coming up and we plan to keep the groups small for maximum exposure and individual attention, which we feel results in a great camper experience," said McCaslin. "We have had great attendance in the past and have identified a lot of future Bulldogs at our one-day events. We expect the same to be true this August."

The camp starts with registration running from 9-10 a.m. (ET) and no overnight stay is required. Campers have the option to choose lunch at the first class dining facility on the FSU campus, the Rock Cafe.

Cost for the camp with lunch is $95 or $85 without the lunch. The event is open for girls in 8th thru 12th grades.

Ferris State advanced to the GLIAC Postseason Tournament for the seventh-straight year in 2016, which represents the best stretch in school history. FSU has reached the league semifinals three times in the last five years and the Bulldogs have also ranked among the nation's top performers academically in the classroom.

A large bulk of the Bulldog roster from last fall will return this coming year with the addition of 15 prep signees to help further bolster an ever-improving Bulldog lineup.

The Bulldogs will begin official preparations for the fall campaign when preseason practice begins in August. The 2017 season will represent Ferris State's 19th season of intercollegiate competition and the Bulldogs are also slated to debut a new home field this coming fall.
