Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's soccer squad wrapped up its fall slate as the Bulldogs narrowly missed receiving the program's first NCAA Division II Tournament berth when the national organization unveiled its postseason selections in a live online announcement on Monday evening.

The Bulldogs had been sixth in the final regular-season NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Rankings announced last week following the conclusion of the regular-season. A total of six teams were chosen for the regional field.

This fall, the Bulldogs compiled an 11-8 overall record under head coach Andy McCaslin while placing third in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) with a 6-3 league record.

Along with the third-place league finish, the Bulldogs also reached the GLIAC Tournament for the eighth consecutive year and earned the right to host a quarterfinal-round home contest.

The Bulldogs had a pair of first-team All-GLIAC choices in sophomore goalkeeper Grace Kraft (Williamston) along with freshman midfielder Bri Rogers (Livonia). Additionally, Kraft claiemd the GLIAC's Goalkeeper Of The Year distinction in voting by the league's member head coaches.

Along with the two first-team picks, FSU also placed two on the All-GLIAC Second Team in junior forward Carley Dubbert (St. Joseph) and freshman defender Maddie Dickens (DeWitt). Finally, freshman forward Mackenzie Dawes (DeWitt) garnered All-GLIAC Honorable Mention recognition.

A total of 28 of the Bulldogs' 35 squad members are eligible to return in 2018 as FSU had only seven seniors this fall.
