Ferris State's Bri Rogers & Grace Kraft Honored On United Soccer Coaches All-Region Teams

Big Rapids, Mich. - Two Ferris State University women's soccer standouts have received all-region honors for the recently-completed 2017 season as both freshman forward Bri Rogers (Livonia) and sophomore goalkeeper Grace Kraft (Williamston) were recognized.

Rogers was named to the 2017 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II All-Midwest Region Second Team while Kraft was tabbed as a third-team honoree. Previously, Rogers was also named to the 2017 Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-Midwest Region Second Team.

As a freshman this year, Rogers also earned All-GLIAC First Team honors for the Bulldogs, who narrowly missed receiving the school's first NCAA Tournament berth. She started all 18 games for FSU and finished with five goals and four assists for 14 total points, which included making a pair of penalty kicks and notching two game-winning goals.

The GLIAC's Goalkeeper Of The Year, Kraft led the Ferris State Bulldogs to a third-place finish in the GLIAC's regular-season and a potential NCAA Tournament berth while earned first-team all-league accolades. Kraft picked up six victories during the regular-season in net and allowed only 14 goals in 1,084 minutes of action for an impressive 1.16 goals against average. She recorded 71 saves and a .835 save percentage in 13 contests for FSU while pitching a shutout.

Kraft allowed a single goal or less in 10 of her 13 appearances while never giving up more than two goals in a contest this fall in helping FSU to an eighth-straight GLIAC Tournament appearance and the right to host first-round action.

This fall, the Bulldogs compiled an 11-8 overall record under head coach Andy McCaslin while placing third in the GLIAC with a 6-3 league record.

Along with the third-place league finish, the Bulldogs also reached the GLIAC Tournament for the eighth consecutive year and earned the right to host a quarterfinal-round home contest.
