Big Rapids, Mich. - Three members of the Ferris State University women's soccer squad have received additional recognition as 2018 United Soccer Coaches All-Midwest Region Team picks following a historic season that led to a NCAA Division II Sweet Sixteen finish for the Bulldogs.

FSU freshman forward Pia Nagel (Karlsruhe, Germany / Otto Hahn Gymnasium) was tabbed to the all-region first team with sophomore Bri Rogers (Livonia, Mich. / Ladywood) named to the second-team squad and senior foward Carley Dubbert (St. Joseph/Stevensville Lakeshore) chosen to the third team.

An All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) honoree in her first season with the Bulldogs, Nagel led the squad in scoring with 24 points on a team-high 10 goals and four assists this year. She produced a school-record seven game-winning markers and netted 56 total shots with 34 on goal this year.

Meanwhile, Rogers played in 21 games and finished with six goals for 12 total points, including a pair of game-winning scores. She also was a team-best three-of-three on penalty kicks and had 52 shots with 19 on goal for the Bulldogs in her second season as a starter on the pitch.

As a senior this season, Dubbert tallied 23 points with eight goals and seven assists in 24 outings. She notched 76 total shots, including 37 on net and finished with three game-winning markers for the Bulldogs. Dubbert was also an All-GLIAC honoree and departed as one of the winningest seniors in program history.

The Bulldogs had a record-breaking season this fall with a school all-time best 17-4-3 overall record under McCaslin. FSU reached the national tournament for the first time in school history and won their opening two games at home before falling to top-ranked rival Grand Valley State in the third round of the national tournament.

Ferris State finished a memorable season with multipe school records such as the most wins, fewest losses, highest winning percentage, best road record, most goals scored and most shutouts in a single campaign. This year also marked the first time the Bulldog squad has ever had three different goalkeepers record at least one shutout.

In addition, FSU was nationally ranked for most of the season, which is the first time in the program's 20-year history FSU has ranked among the nation's top 25 teams.

The Bulldogs finished second in the GLIAC Regular Season standings, the highest finish in program history before also making their first-ever appearance in the GLIAC Tournament Championship game.
