Before the first half was out, FSU sophomore Jessie Bandyk fired a ball off a Ranger defender from close range that popped up in the air and floated over the goal line at 27:45. Bandyk's goal was her second of the year. Nagel set up Bandyk for her third helper of the season and a 3-0 halftime lead.

Early in the second half, VerHage drilled her second goal of the day and ninth of the season at 58:24 from the right side of the box to make it a 4-0 contest. Zamborini earned her second assist of the day and fourth of the season.
