Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's soccer team shutout the Michigan Tech Huskies 2-0 to run their unbeaten streak to 10 games (8-0-2) on Friday (Oct. 21) at the Bulldog Soccer Field in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play.

Ferris State sophomore goalkeeper Darya Mosallaei made two stops to move alone into second place all-time on the schools career shutouts leaderboard, notching her 17th career clean sheet, passing Grace Kraft's 16 career blankings. The shutout win is Ferris State's eighth of the year and Mosallaei's fifth of the campaign.

The Bulldogs got off to a fast start when senior Katie Nestico let loose a high shot for her second goal of the year at 3:51 of the contest. Senior Isabella Zamborini notched her sixth assist of the season on the play.

Ferris State bookended the contest, scoring at 86:25 when Zamborini netted her GLIAC-leading 11th goal of the season to remain atop the GLIAC goal and point-scoring leaderboard with 28 points on the year. She is three ahead of second place in the GLIAC scoring race.

Ferris State finished with an 18-11 lead in shots on goal with a 9-1 margin in the second half, after being out-shot 10-9 in the opening frame by Michigan Tech. The Bulldogs did not allow a shot on goal in the second frame and had a 13-2 advantage in shots on goal for the day.
