Bulldog Soccer Falls To Michigan Tech 1-0 In Close GLIAC Road Tilt

Houghton, Mich. – The Ferris State women's soccer squad headed to the Upper Peninsula for a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) contest against the Michigan Tech Huskies and fell 1-0 on Friday (Oct. 27).

The Bulldogs (5-7-4) fell to 3-6-3 in league play with the loss. The Huskies sent eight shots at FSU goalkeeper Lauren Kubacki, and she made seven saves.

Michigan Tech scored the lone goal of the game at 19 minutes of the first half. Brooke Green was unassisted for her third tally of the year and gave the Huskies a 1-0 win.

FSU had three shots on goal in the contest, two of which came in the second half. Payton Price, Jessie Bandyk and Brinley Bell had the shots on goal for the Bulldogs.

MTU took six corner kicks compared to two for Ferris State. The Huskies had 18 fouls and FSU had 13.

The Bulldogs will play their next regular season contest on the road against Northern Michigan on Sunday, Oct. 29, at 1 p.m. (ET).
