Women's Tennis Opens Trip With Win

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis squad opened its spring break trip with a convincing 8-1 non-league win over Robert Morris (Ill.) on Monday (March 7) at Griffith, Ind. The match was held at the Match Point.

Ferris State improved to 14-3 overall this campaign with the victory while Robert Morris fell to 10-4 overall this season.

The Bulldogs won two of the three doubles flights and then swept the six singles spots to notch the triumph.

Ferris State is currently ranked 32nd in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division II National Poll along with fourth in the Midwest Regional listing.

FSU continues its spring trip by visiting the University of Chicago on Wednesday, March 9, for a 9 p.m. (ET) tilt.
