Women's Tennis Wins Two Weekend Matches
Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis team capped off its 2010-11 regular-season in style as the Bulldogs picked up a pair of victories this past weekend (April 8-9) away from home.
The Bulldogs earned an important regional triumph with a 5-4 win over Lewis (Ill.) on Friday (April 8) in Romeoville, Ill. Ferris then stormed past Southern Indiana by a 9-0 score in Saturday's (April 9) netural site matchup at the same site.
With the two wins, Ferris State concluded its regular-season with a 19-4 overall record. The Bulldogs have also won five consecutive matches to date.
The top six teams at the end of the year will earn berths into the NCAA Division II Tournament when the official announcement is made later this month. FSU entered the trip listed fourth in the regional rankings.
