Northwood Posts Women's Tennis Win Over FSU

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis squad suffered a 9-0 loss to Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) tennis rival Northwood on Tuesday (Sept. 20) in league play at Midland, Mich.

The host Timberwolves took all three doubles flights and swept the six singles matches to notch the victory and hand the Bulldogs only their second loss of the campaign.

FSU fell to 4-2 both overall and in the GLIAC with the setback while NU improved to 3-0 on the year and in league competition.  The match took place at the Gerstacker Tennis Complex on the Northwood campus.

Ferris State opens a three-match homestand by hosting Lake Superior State on Thursday, Sept. 22, in a 2 p.m. (ET) league tilt at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center in Big Rapids.  The Bulldogs will also host Michigan Tech on Sunday (Sept. 25) at 10 a.m. (ET).
