Bulldog Women Open Spring With Home Win
Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis squad kicked off its spring season with a 6-3 non-league win over Davenport on Thursday (Feb. 23) evening at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center in Big Rapids.
The Bulldogs trailed 2-1 following doubles play as the Panthers won the top two flights, but Ferris State battled back to claim the victory and improve to 11-5 overall this campaign.
Davenport fell to 8-3 on the season with the setback.
FSU won five of the six singles positions with four of the five triumphs coming in straight-sets.
The Bulldogs will be back in action on Friday, March 4, when they host Hope College in a 4 p.m. (ET) match at the Racquet and Fitness Center.
