Women's Tennis Ends Up Fourth In GLIAC Tournament

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis team wrapped up action in the 2012 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament with a 5-0 loss to Wayne State on Sunday (Oct. 28) morning at the Midland Community Tennis Center in Midland, Mich.

The Warriors were able to win the three doubles flights and then posted wins at the fourth and fifth singles positions to end the match.  FSU finished fourth in the league tournament with the setback.

The fourth-seeded Bulldogs had upset fourth-seeded Ashland by a 5-4 score on Friday (Oct. 26) evening before a 5-0 loss to number one seed Northwood in Saturday's (Oct. 27) semifinals of the annual league event.

The match was the final scheduled fall outing for the Bulldogs, who currently own an 11-7 overall mark to date this campaign.

Wayne State improved to 16-2 overall with the victory.
