Bulldogs Fall To Regionally-Ranked Greyhounds In Weekend Finale

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis squad wrapped up its weekend trip to Indiana with a 8-1 setback to regionally-ranked Indianapolis on Sunday (March 2) afternoon at the UIndy Tennis Center.

The host Greyhounds, who are ranked eighth in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Midwest Regional Rankings, swept the six singles flights and dropped only one doubles match in earning the win to move to 3-3 overall this season.

The Bulldogs, who fell to 8-13 overall on the year, posted their lone win at number two doubles with the combination of Sydney Berens and Janie Sell posting an 8-5 win over Macey Speer and Selenay Heper.

Indianapolis captured four of the six singles flights in straight-sets as they captured their second regional victory of the campaign.

Ferris State will return to action next Saturday (March 8) as FSU visits Northwestern Ohio for a 10 a.m. (ET) non-conference tilt. The match opens a four-match spring break swing for the Bulldogs with Ferris State slated to play matches in three different states, including Ohio, Georgia and Florida.
