Wayne State Tops Bulldogs By 6-3 Count In GLIAC Tennis Match
Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision to visiting Wayne State on Saturday (Sept. 19) in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center in Big Rapids.
The Warriors took the second and third doubles flights to build a 2-1 lead heading into the singles round and then captured four of the six positions to record the win.
Ferris State received wins from the number one doubles tandem of Shawnee-Ann Brelsford and Lauren Lomax. In singles play, Nika Hein was a straight-set winner at the second flight with Nicole Meylor winning at the sixth spot in the lineup.
The Bulldogs will host Hillsdale in league play on Sunday (Sept. 20) starting at 10 a.m. (ET) in Big Rapids.
