Ferris State Women's Tennis Opens Weekend With Sweep Of Findlay

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis team opened up its weekend home action with a 9-0 sweep over Findlay on Saturday (Oct. 3) at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center in Big Rapids.

The Bulldogs moved to 5-2 overall and in conference play with the decisive win while Findlay remained winless on the year at 0-7 overall and in the GLIAC.

Ferris State bolted out to a 3-0 lead following doubles play with commanding 8-2, 8-6 and 8-0 wins at the first, second and third flights in the lineup, respectively.

Then, in singles competition, Ferris State captured all six flights, including five in straight-sets along with a three-set win at the number two spot in the lineup.

The Bulldogs, who have won their last two outings to date, will wrap up the weekend by hosting Tiffin on Sunday (Oct. 4) starting at 10 a.m. (ET) in Big Rapids. It will represent the Bulldogs' final home match of the fall campaign.
