Ferris State Women's Tennis Rolls To Victory In First Match Of Spring
Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis team rolled past visiting Salem International with a decisive 9-0 non-league home triumph on Friday (Feb. 19) at FSU's Racquet and Fitness Center in Big Rapids.
The Bulldogs, who were playing their first match of the spring season, improved to 11-4 overall this season by topping the visitors in impressive fashion.
FSU captured five of the six singles flights by identical 6-0, 6-0 scores with the other result coming via a 6-0, 6-1 count at the number five position.
In doubles competition, Ferris State took all three positions by 8-0 scores.
Ferris State will be back in action on Sunday (Feb. 21) as FSU hosts Lewis (Ill.) in regional play at home starting at 2 p.m. (ET).
