Women's Tennis Rolls Past Visiting Ashland In Saturday Sweep

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis team picked up its sixth win of the fall as the Bulldogs rolled past visiting Ashland 9-0 in a Saturday (Oct. 15) sweep at FSU's Racquet and Fitness Center in Big Rapids.

The Bulldogs took all three doubles matches by 8-2, 8-3, and 8-5 scores at the first, second and third flights, respectively, to build the early advantage.

In singles play, the Bulldogs also captured all six flights with five coming in straight-sets. FSU's Nika Hein won the only three-setter at the second singles position.

With the win, Ferris State improved to 6-3 overall and in the GLIAC this campaign while AU fell to 0-9 on the year.

The Bulldogs wrap up the weekend as they host Walsh on Sunday (Oct. 16) starting at 10 a.m. (ET) in Big Rapids.
