Bulldog Tennis Falls In GLIAC Women's Tourney Semifinals To Top Seed

Midland, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis team fell to top-seeded Northwood on Saturday (Oct. 29) afternoon in the 2016 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Semifinals at the Greater Midland Tennis Center.

The Timberwolves led 2-1 following doubles play, but managed to take the first three completed singles matches against the fourth-seeded Bulldogs to advance to the GLIAC Championship match on Sunday.

Ferris State, which beat fifth-seeded Saginaw Valley State 5-3 in the opening round late Friday night, will now play for third place in the league tournament on Sunday (Oct. 30) starting at 8:15 a.m. (ET) in Midland.

FSU is now 8-5 overall this season following Saturday's setback in fall action.

The Bulldogs' lone win in Saturday's tilt came from the third doubles pairing of Sydney Berens and Arien Kissinger by an 8-3 count.
