Women's Tennis Falls In GLIAC Road Decision Against The Tiffin Dragons

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis squad continued its three-match weekend road swing on Saturday (Oct. 14), but suffered a 7-2 decision at the hands of the Tiffin Dragons in Tiffin, Ohio.

The host Dragons won the match at the Gillmor Courts as they took two of three doubles matches and claimed the top five singles positions in the win over FSU.

Ferris State's lone win in the doubles round came from the number two tandem of Nicole Meylor and Lauren Lomax, which recorded an 8-5 victory.

In singles play, the Bulldogs also got a win from Arien Kissinger in straight-sets by a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at the number six flight, but that was the only victory FSU could manage in singles competition.

Ferris State dropped to 3-4 overall and in the GLIAc with the setback while TU improved to 5-4 overall and 4-4 in the GLIAC by virtue of the triumph.

The Bulldogs wrap up their three-match weekend swing by visiting Ashland on Sunday (Oct. 15) for a league encounter in Ashland, Ohio. The match has been moved indoors and will begin at 9 a.m. (ET) due to expected rain.
