Ferris State Women's Tennis Inks Morgan Waller During Fall Signing Period

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis squad has announced the addition of Morgan Waller (Saskatchewan), who signed with the Bulldogs during the recent fall signing period and will join the program next fall.

The addition of Waller was announced by FSU interim head coach Mark Doren.

"We're excited to be adding Morgan to our team," he said. "She is very talented and I believe she'll make a big impact in the lineup as a freshman."

This past fall, Ferris State finished the fall campaign by winning three of its final four matches and the Bulldogs were victorious in four of their last six overall under Doren's direction. FSU also had a pair of All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) honorees in seniors Nika Hein and Nicole Meylor.

FSU is tentatively slated to open the spring season on Feb. 10 against Hillsdale in regional road action at 3:30 p.m. (ET) in Hillsdale, Mich.

Competed in 2013 Canada Summer games as a doubles player ... Guided team to 3rd place at 2015 Western Canada Summer games as a singles player ... Competed as a singles player in 2017 Canada Summer Games to put Saskatchewan in 7th ... Competed at Canadian Junior Nationals 11 times ... Also played volleyball and led team to 3rd place in school league ... MVP for grades 11 & 12 ... Played club volleyball, ending up 4th in the province ... Honor roll student ... Third highest average in all of her 10th grade class in school.
