Women's Tennis Opens Regional Trip With Hard-Fought Road Victory At Findlay
Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis team opened up a regional road trip this weekend with a hard-fought 4-3 triumph over the Findlay Oilers on Friday evening (Feb. 21) at the YMCA East courts in Findlay, Ohio.
The Bulldogs pushed their record to 9-5 overall this year with the win.
Ferris State captured the doubles point for the early lead as the Bulldogs claimed wins at both the first and third flights in the lineup.
In singles action, FSU got a three-set win from Agata Klak at the second flight in the lineup to go with a straight-set triumph by Morgan Waller at three singles. FSU's Brittany Lavenant also won in straight-sets at the fourth flight to account for the final margin.
Ferris State will wrap up its weekend trip versus Tiffin (Ohio) on Sunday (Feb. 23) at 9:30 a.m. (ET) at the Lakewood Racquet Club in Tiffin, Ohio.
