Women's Tennis Suffers Setback To Rollins In Florida Encounter

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis squad returned to the court on Tuesday (March 10) and fell to Rollins (Fla.) by a 7-0 score at Tiedtke Courts in Winter Park, Fla.

The Bulldogs fell behind as Rollins took the three doubles matches and then proceeded to claim the six singles flights to pull out the triumph.

Rollins improved to 6-4 overall this year with the win while the Bulldogs dropped to 10-8 overall as their spring break trip to the Sunshine State continued.

Despite the final score, the Bulldogs battled in their second outdoor match in as many days. FSU's Agata Klak went to three sets at number two singles.

In doubles action, the Bulldogs' Morgan Waller and Sam Stephenson fought to a 6-4 decision at the second spot in the lineup in the closest of the three doubles encounters.

Ferris State continues action on Wednesday (March 11) with a Midwest Regional matchup versus Rockhurst (Mo.) starting at 6:30 p.m. (ET) in Florida. The Bulldogs the face nationally-ranked Saint Leo on Thursday at 11 a.m. (ET) before closing out the trip against Eckerd (Fla.) on Friday at 2 p.m. (ET).
