Bulldog Volleyball Bounces Back For League Road Victory At Tiffin

Tiffin, Ohio - The nationally-ranked Ferris State University women's volleyball team swept the Tiffin University Dragons in a Saturday (Oct. 21) afternoon match in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play in Tiffin.

After a tough loss on Friday night at Ashland, the Bulldogs pulled past the Dragons 3-0 on Saturday by scores of 25-18, 26-24 and 25-17.
 
Senior middle hitter Ayanna Buckley compiled 15 kills for the match with an impressive .565 hitting percentage. Sophomore outside hitter Allyson Cappel and senior middle hitter Maria Kronner both had 10 kills each for the match. 
 
Sophomore setter Maeve Grimes had all 46 assists for the Bulldogs. She also had seven digs, a solo block and an ace. 
 
Bulldog senior libero Lauren Reminga and Cappel both had 10 digs for the victory. Junior outside hitter Katie Placek was close behind with nine digs. 
 
The Bulldogs compiled 47 kills with a .382 hitting percentage, 46 assists, 45 digs, eight total blocks and six aces. 
 
The Dragons put up a good fight, but fell behind with 38 kills, 37 assists, 43 digs, four aces and four total blocks.

Ferris State improved to 16-6 overall and 9-2 in the GLIAC with the win. 
 
The Bulldogs continue a long road stretch next Saturday (Oct. 28) as they visit Northwood University for a 2 p.m. (ET) match in Midland, Mich.
