Ferris State Volleyball To Square Off Against Former Standouts In Alumni Match Thursday

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's volleyball squad will wrap up its spring drills by holding an Alumni Match against stars from the past on Thursday (April 18) inside the Ewigleben Sports Arena.

The Bulldogs, who are the five-time defending Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Champions, will host former players in a scrimmage starting at 4 p.m. (ET).

The event is open to the public and there is no admission charge.

This past fall, Ferris State Volleyball made its eighth consecutive NCAA Tournament bid and the Bulldogs have advanced to at least the regional semifinals each of the last eight years under head coach Tia Brandel-Wilhelm. The Bulldogs finished the regular-season as GLIAC Champions for the fifth-straight year with a perfect 16-0 league mark and also captured the 2018 GLIAC Tournament Championship for the fifth consecutive year, becoming the first squad in league history to capture five-straight tourney crowns.
