Ferris State Volleyball Beats Northwood In GLIAC Home Encounter

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's volleyball squad stretched its win streak to 11-straight matches as the Bulldogs posted a 3-1 triumph over Northwood on Saturday (Oct. 23) inside FSU's Ewigleben Sports Arena.

The Bulldogs earned a 25-14, 20-25, 25-21, 25-21 victory over the Timberwolves while improving to 16-4 overall this year.,

Senior Katie O'Connell paced the Bulldogs with 13 kills and 12 digs while freshman Keona Salesman had 11 kills for FSU. Meanwhile, setter Kaylee Maat finished with 32 assists.

Defensively, the Bulldogs' Nina Gorgijevska totaled 21 digs with Brooke Norder adding 12 digs for FSU. Maat also had 11 for the Bulldogs.

Northwood was led by Kiana Martens with 18 kills and Lauren Bell, who finished with 19 digs.

The Bulldogs will host Lake Superior State on Sunday (Oct. 24) with match time set for 2 p.m. (ET). It will mark FSU's final home match ever inside the Ewigleben Sports Arena and it will also be Senior Day for the Bulldogs.
