Big Rapids, Mich. – The nationally #24-ranked Ferris State University women's volleyball squad cruised to a 3-0 victory over Wisconsin-Parkside Saturday (Sept. 16) in Bulldog Arena for the Bulldogs' second Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Association (GLIAC) victory.
FSU (7-3, 2-0 GLIAC) played its first conference match (and earned its first GLIAC victory) inside Bulldog Arena against the visiting Rangers. Olivia Henneman-Dallape had a strong performance, totaling 15 kills on 29 total attacks, three digs, two aces and three blocks, good for a team-high 19 points. Kaylee Maat added 38 assists and 11 digs, while Leah Bylut had 25 digs.
The Bulldogs started out strong with a 25-11 victory in the first set behind an impressive .429 attack percentage. Henneman-Dallape had eight of the 25 points for the Bulldogs.
In set two, FSU won 25-14 with an even better hitting percentage at .436. In the final set, the Bulldogs won 25-15 and sealed their 3-0 victory over the Rangers.
For the match, Claire Nowicki added nine kills to finish second on the team behind Henneman-Dallape. Chelsie Freeman had three block assists and Maat contributed three service aces. As a team, the Bulldogs had a .350 hitting percentage and 11 service aces.
Parkside had just a .020 hit percentage while totaling 15 assists and 45 digs. Ara Irvin paced the Rangers with five kills and Elizabeth Truckenbrod had a team-high five points.
The Bulldogs will continue GLIAC play with an upcoming five-match road trip, beginning Friday, Sept. 22, at Saginaw Valley State starting at 7 p.m. (ET).
