Three Ferris State Volleyball Standouts Garner All-Midwest Region Honors

Big Rapids, Mich. - A trio of Ferris State University women's volleyball standouts have earned All-Region accolades for the 2023 campaign as the Bulldogs head into their 12th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance this week.

The all-region recognition came from two different sources as both the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) and Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) All-Midwest Region squads were announced. The AVCA teams are selected by head coaches while the D2CCA squads are nominated and voted on by the region's sports information directors.

FSU junior outside hitter Olivia Henneman-Dallape (Oregon, Ohio/Clay) earned All-Midwest Region First Team recognition from both the AVCA and the D2CCA while junior outside hitter Claire Nowicki (Clarkston) garnered AVCA First Team and D2CCA Second Team All-Region laurels.

Finally, junior setter Kaylee Maat (Hudsonville) was also an AVCA Honorable Mention all-region honoree.

The trio has led the Bulldogs to a 25-7 overall record this season along with a GLIAC Tournament Championship. FSU is the number two seed for the Midwest Regional and will face seventh-seeded Hillsdale on Thursday (Nov. 30) afternoon at 3:30 p.m. (ET) in St. Louis, Mo.
