FSU Cross Country Runs In EMU Classic

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and women's cross country teams sent selected student-athletes to the Eastern Michigan Classic on Saturday (Oct. 23) at Hudson Mills Metropark in Dexter, Mich.

The non-scoring field included student-athletes from schools such as Michigan, Michigan State, Ferris, Hillsdale, Saginaw Valley State, Toledo, and others.

Sophomore Alyssa Osika (Waterford/Mott) placed 17th overall (18:55.7), senior Paige Onweller (Lapeer/East) came in 29th (19:13.7), freshman Jenna Daniels (Big Rapids) captured 72nd place (20:42.5) and freshman Haleigh Przybylek (Muskegon/Mona Shores) came in 91st (22:54.3) out of 95 runners for the Bulldog women's team.

On the men's side, sophomore Ryan Chute (Waterford/Mott) took 13th place (15:48.7), sophomore Michael Schulte (Weidman/Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart) was 23rd (16:10.2), freshman Dakota Cooper (Hesperia) placed 52nd (17:10.4) while sophomore Jordan Slate (Hesperia) finished 55th (17:18.4) in the 86-runner field.

Ferris State will next take part in the 2010 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championships on Saturday, Nov. 6, in Hillsdale, Mich.
